The choice of studying Fiddle vs. Classical should not be too difficult.  We teach with the philosophy that from the beginning our goal should be to have fun while learning techniques to develop proficiency on the instrument and ultimately play music!  There is no difference in our teaching methods whether it be “Bach” or “Sally Goodin”.  Techniques in the style’s are taught with the ultimate goal of moving forward with ability on the instrument as well as general fundamentals in note reading and ear training.  We will visit with each student and figure out goals and interests and cater a lesson plan geared toward making learning fun and to spark some interest in keeping it going.
